Master of Arts (MA)
A Master of Arts (MA) is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in fields like social sciences, arts, humanities, business, and more. It’s a post-graduate degree offered by universities worldwide, showcasing a deeper level of expertise in a specific area of study.
Pursuing an MA can bring numerous benefits, such as enhanced career opportunities and improved skills in problem-solving and decision-making. Completing a master’s program demonstrates your commitment to advancing your knowledge and capabilities.
Typically, you can earn an MA through one year of full-time study or two to four years part-time. Courses usually kick off in September or October, but some programs start in January or February, too.
To qualify for a master’s degree, you’ll need to accumulate a total of 180 credits. While some programs may simply grade as pass or fail, many taught master’s degrees use a system that includes pass, merit (or credit), and distinction. Generally, you’ll need at least 50% for a pass, 60% for a merit, and 70% for a distinction.
Embarking on this journey can be a rewarding way to enhance your skills and open new doors in your career!
